Grey Forest Open Studios is a free annual event where artists of the Grey Forest, Texas area open their studios and gardens to the public to view and purchase art work.   

Last year's event has 8 studios spread throughout the community.   With  16 artists, it featured paintings, pottery, ceramics, sculptures, textiles, jewelry and much much more from both studio artists and visiting artists.   Patrons were able to purchase wonderfully unique art  at reasonable prices plus enjoy a friendly festive atmosphere seeing where artists work and live amid the creeks, woods, and old Sunday houses. 

This year's event promises to be even better.   Save the date for a great time and great art.   Saturday October 12th Noon til 6pm. 

Grey Forest, Texas is a small quiet rural community located on Scenic Loop Road.   The mile long community began as a development of secluded hill country summer homes in the 1920's.      The area still retains it rustic charm with twisted oaks, native stone buildings, and winding roads.

Directions from 1604 take Bandera Road (Hwy 16) north approximately 2.7 miles.  Turn right on Scenic Loop Road (traffic light).   The first studio is about 1 mile.   Continue another 2 miles to Grey Forest and other studios.   From IH-10 take Boerne Stage Road exit to Scenic Loop Road.   Take Scenic Loop Road south approximately 4 miles to Grey Forest.

Parking is available at two locations and patrons are encouraged to park and walk to nearby studios and enjoy the unique Grey Forest scenery.   Studios may make arrangements for parking but space is limited.
